2701 Residence

The 2701 Residence draws inspiration from classic Mid-Century Modern design, particularly from its Marcel Breuer-designed neighbor. The client thoughtfully assembled a skilled team, including KBID, to create a home that both reflects their personal style and honors the surrounding modernist architecture. KBID collaborated closely with the team on every aspect—from space planning and material specification to furniture selection and installation. Guided by Mid-Century Modern principles such as clean lines, honest materials, integration with nature, purposeful use of color, and geometric forms, the home beautifully showcases the owners' eclectic art and artifacts collected from their global travels. The spaces, designed to be light and airy, are enhanced with materials that thoughtfully introduce color and texture, infusing the home with warmth and a joy.
