INTERIOR DESIGNER

Part Time

We are looking for a creative and efficient Interior Designer to join our team. Ideally, the designer could handle production on assigned project(s). The ability to work diligently and successfully complete the project deliverables with excellent representation of KBID is critical. The Designer’s responsibilities include developing construction drawings, specifications, and design presentations. The candidate should be able to collaborate well with the internal team and carry it to completion based on the clients requirements.  Being a detail oriented and self-motivated individual will allow one to thrive in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete design projects from concept development through to completion.

• Adjusting designs and plans to meet the client's needs.

• Preparing drawings, specifications and construction documents in Revit.

• Understand and prepare detailed furniture selection and specifications packages, preferably both commercial and residential in nature.

• Complying with safety standards and local code regulations.

• Determining and adhering to budgets and timelines.

• Collaborates with the design team and other construction professionals.

• Coordinating with the team regularly to maintain continuity.

Skills & Competencies

• Degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited program.

• Previous experience as an Interior Designer is preferred.

• Excellent technical drawing skills, specifically in Revit.

• Strong communication and project management skills.

• Proficient knowledge of the following: G Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup & Enscape.

• Team oriented and self motivated individual.
