Passive Refresh

This complete interior remodel took a thoughtful and well-loved home and brought it back to life for the original homeowners of 35 years. The original design was based on Passive-Solar design concepts and is now celebrated by bouncing that light through more of the home with the new lighter finishes. We planned and studied how to maximize function and in the the bathrooms and kitchen plan and design. The living room and dining room are reinvisioned with a new fireplace design and opening up the stairwell with a wood screen wall that allows light to cascade down into the dining room. Timeless materials and high functionality are now met with the original daylight intent offering a home this family can enjoy for the next 35 years.
