The historic Aladdin Hotel was once a destination for the traveler, the town gossip and the arts. The design leans into Kansas City’s historical roots from and age of opportunity and scandal. Spaces are finished in a way that suggests the eclectic community and celebrates the unique qualities that overlapped. The new amenities provide modern conveniences but nod to a pastime in materiality and color. The Aladdin still brings movers and shakers together and will provide a nostalgic home to many.
KBID was selected as the interior designer for the project, joining a thoughtful team of architect, developer, engineers, preservation experts and multifamily management consultants. KBID developed the concept for the interior design, selected finishes, specialty fixtures and equipment and created interior architectural drawings and packages for historic incentives, tax credits, contractor pricing and bid. The renovated Aladdin’s residents will write their own history while experiencing the ambiance of the past.

Using Revit and BIM Collaborate, we are able to clearly convey our designs via 3D interior renderings, provide live updates, and documentation of all design details. Our process is efficient and effective to provide comprehensive design with the entire team.
