OUR RESIDENTIAL PROCESS
WHAT We are an interiors focused firm. At KBID, interior design is more than finishes. We are the planners, problem solvers, specifiers, drawers, but overall great designers. We listen first to understand each client’s individual goals. Our process is informative and inspirational; not oppressive. We design for our Clients, not ourselves.
HOW We fold into residential projects in several ways. Typically, our homeowners reach out directly to us to begin the design process. In other instances, our industry partners recommend KBID to lead the interiors portion of the project. In all scenarios, our clients are looking for specialized design, tailored to their needs and preferences, and are looking for a trusted partnership to complete the interiors.
WHO Every project is different, and each team may vary. For renovations and some new construction, we are able to work directly with the contractor to facilitate the building process. Other project may benefit from teaming with our architectural partners to bring the design full circle. Based on each project, we can recommend Architects, Engineers, Specialty Consultants, and Contractors that feel applicable to each unique scope.
